The mother of two girls, now to be three, discovered that she was HIV positive way back in 2008 while in form two. Phenny revealed her life took a turn when she was in Form Two at Asumbi Girls’ High School in 2008, at that time she was just 16-year-old with no sexual partner and the thought that she could be positive did not ever cross her mind.
The lass who is now involved in many projects made her HIV/Aids status in 2017 on social media and revealed she was born with the disease.
Ever since, she’s always been vocal about HIV and the stigma that comes with it. Also encouraging people living with the virus in Kenya.
The mother of two daughters recently announced that she was pregnant with her third baby, with the mzungu husband, who is also HIV positive.
Awiti shared a post on her social media platforms,
”I DON’T KNOW HOW IT FEELS LIKE TO BE HIV NEGATIVE, BUT I KNOW THAT I AND BABA BREAD ARE BOTH HIV POSITIVE AND GLADLY RAISING THESE TWO BEAUTIES WHO ARE FREE FROM THE VIRUS.
